Industry newcomer Imani Scott is bringing happiness back to music with her bold and soulful vocals that mesh a little bit of R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop and Funk for a fresh take. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Imaní Scott is a graduate from Sam Houston State University. Her debut album, aptly titled An Introduction, was released in the first week of October. Produced entirely by heavy hitter Isaac “Chill” Yowman, Scott is truly making a funky first impression.
She says love was a first love for her: “Music has been a passion of mines since I could remember from a very young age. From mocking Destiny Child to Patti LaBelle at the age of 8 to singing on a collegiate level, I knew I was destined to be in the music industry.”
